Fully Involved House Fire on Wetherbee Circle In Millers Crossing
01/20/2011- 'A' shift Responded to Working Fire in North Pulaski
@11916 Fortson RD.
E71 was first in of a 2 story wood frame with Fire showing around the flu on the A-B corner. E71 stretch 13/4 attack line (200') to the front door. E71 made entry through front door of residence on A side.No smoke conditions were present in the house. Interior crew began to pull ceiling around the furnace and as drywall was pulled, crews found it was a double ceiling with 3/4" tongue and groove board. So, E71 crew started to look for a scuttle hole for attic access. Discovered Upstairs access was being blocked behind a sheet of plywood. While attempting to ascend stairs, trash bags hampered crews progress, as well as junk on top step. During this time, E71 crew assisted by RAFD interior crew of two FFs. After advancing to top of stairs, heavy smoke encountered. Crews started hitting visible fire at door and tried to advance in the room. More junk hampered advancement of both crews. Crews finally pulled out and went defensive after no progress was made and partial collapse of the roof. Crews found a cat still alive in a back bedroom. Cat evacuated and administered high flow oxygen and handed off to homeowner. Crews work for more then 31/2 hours to confine the fire.

07/22/2010 Automatic Aid with NPFD for a trailer Fire @1706
Hatcher Road.- change to
07/22/2010: "B" shift was Alerted to a Trailer Fire Possible Person trap @ 1706 Hatcher Road.
E71 arrived to find heavy fire pushing out the front door. Gravel Ridge Fire E71 advise Sherwood Engine 2 to drop a 5" supply line and passed command to Batt.1. E71 stretch attack line to the A-side and advance the line through the front door pushing the fire back while other Company's arrived. Sherwood E2 assist E71 engineer with water supply T1, E1 & SQ 74 personnel stretch the second attack line to rear of trailer and assist in extinguish and did a primary search of the trailer for the report of someone inside. With the fire knock quickly down and search prove negative crews was pulled from the trailer due to Possible Cause being investigation by the Sherwood PD CID Unit. Fire crews begin to pick up supply line to put Sherwood units back in service. E71 and SQ 74 remained on scene to do final overhaul.

04/15/2010 'C' Shift Had a busy Day Starting with Mutual Aid Run in to
Runyan Acres to set up LZ to land Med Flight For a GSW victim.
04/13/2010 'A' Shift was Dispatch Automatic Aid in North Pulaski Fire District for a Trailer Fire @ 2014 Mantooth RD. Crews arrived to Heavy fire on the Front Half of trailer.
Crews Stretch a 13/4 attack line and enter the trailer to cut off the fire to the front half. Due to a failing floor crews exit
and began a defensive attack. Crews work for 3hrs to extinguish and overhaul the trailer.
Units on scene were Runyan Acres Engine 53 , North Pulaski Engine 65, NPFD #602 and Gravel Ridge E71.

In the Early Morning of 12/15/2009 "A" Shift was dispatch for a Car Fire @ 25 Ridgevale RD. E-71 arrived to find a White SUV well involved in front of the structure with
possible extension to the house. E-71 immediately requested SFD E-1 and Battalion 1 to respond to assist. E-71 stretch 1-"3/4 Trash line for a quick knock down on the fire.
SFD E1 and Battalion 1 arrived and assigned to check for extension in house. E-1 reported no extension just smoke through out the house and to setup ventilation.
House was cleared of smoke and SFD units were returned to service. E-71 remand on scene to Overhaul the auto.

11/07/2009 at 20:48 "C" Shift responded (Automatic Aid) to a Structure Fire on Aloha Circle in Runyan Acres. E-71 arrived first on scene
finding heavy fire on the "A" side of the structure. E-71 crew began an attack with an 1-3/4" hand line. Runyan Acres FD E-52, Sherwood FD E-2
and BC-1, Gravel Ridge FD Rescue 73, and North Pulaski FD E-65 and Tanker 1 also responded to the call.
10/24/2009- A Shift Response E71 and R73 to Batesville Pike for Mutual aid with RAFD and NPFD on a double Extrication MVC.
"A" Shift respond to Runyan Acres For Mutual Aid.
Engine 71 and Rescue 73 were requested for a one vehicle rollover with possible entrapment.
08/19/09-"A" Shift was 2nd in Engine on house fire on Seasons CV around Noon
